Q What Did Your Grandparents Do for a Living?

“Your number, please?”
My grandmother started her work every day with this question.
She had to say it again and again all day.
Can you guess what her job was?
My grandmother was a switchboard operator.
She received phone calls and connected them to the correct people.
You know what? Sometimes she happened to overhear people’s phone calls.
One day she overheard a loud shout from a man in the middle of a call.
he quickly connected his call to a hospital to help him out!
She was always proud of the work that she did in the good old days.
