Jackie Robinson Breaks the Color Line

Jackie Robinson 인종 차별을 깨다

It was New York City on April 15, 1947.

1947년 4월 15일 뉴욕시에서였다.

 

Jackie Robinson, an African American, went on the field as second baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

아프리카계 미국인 Jackie Robinson은 브루클린 다저스 팀의 2루수로 경기장에 나갔다.

 

People couldn’t believe their eyes.

사람들은 그들의 눈을 믿을 수 없었다.

 

He was the first African American player to play on a Major League team.

그는 메이저리그 팀에서 경기한 최초의 아프리카계 미국인 선수였다.

 

That day, the color line was broken.

Robinson faced many difficulties.
