Happy Fools' Garden

행복한 만우절 정원

 

Todd and his little sisters, Mary and Katie, are working in the garden.

Todd와 그의 여동생들인 Mary와 Katie는 정원에서 일하고 있다.

 

 

“What are you planting, kids?” asks Dad.

“무엇을 심고 있니, 얘들아?”라고 아빠가 물으신다.

 

“I’m planting carrot seeds. I want to make a carrot cake for you,” says Todd.

“저는 당근 씨앗을 심고 있어요. 저는 아빠에게 당근 케이크를 만들어 드리고 싶어요.”라고 Todd가 말한다.

 

“Great! How about you, Mary and Katie?” asks Dad.

“멋지구나! 너희들은 어떠니, Mary와 Katie?”라고 아빠가 물으신다.

 

“I’m planting a cookie. I like to eat cookies with a big glass of milk,” says Mary.

“저는 쿠키를 심고 있어요. 저는 커다란 우유 한 잔과 함께 쿠키를 먹는 것을 좋아해요.”라고 Mary가 말한다.

 

“I’m planting a book. I love to sit by the window and read,” says Katie.

“저는 책을 심고 있어요. 저는 창가에 앉아서 책을 읽는 것을 정말 좋아해요.”라고 Katie가 말한다.

 

Todd winks at Dad and Dad winks back.

Todd는 아빠에게 윙크하고 아빠는 다시 Todd에게 윙크한다.

 

 

Then they say, “Oh, Mary, Katie, don’t do that! They will not grow!”

그러고 나서 그들은 말한다. “오, Mary, Katie, 그러지 마! 그것들은 자라지 않을 거야!”

 

“Just joking! April Fools’ Day!”

“농담이에요! 만우절이에요!”

 

Mary and Katie shout and jump up and down.

Mary와 Katie는 소리치고는 폴짝폴짝 뛴다.

 

They all laugh together.

그들은 모두 함께 웃는다.

 

“It’s a little hot. Get some rest and try this,” says Mom.

“약간 덥구나. 쉬면서 이것을 먹어 보렴.”하고 엄마가 말씀하신다.

 

“Oh, it’s ice cream! Thank you, Mom.”

“오, 아이스크림이네요! 감사합니다, 엄마.”

 

The kids run to her and eat it.

아이들은 그녀에게 달려가 그것을 먹는다.

 

Then they shout, “It’s not ice cream. It’s just potato and milk with tomato ketchup.”

그러고 나서 그들은 소리친다. “이것은 아이스크림이 아니네요. 그것은 그냥 토마토케첩이 뿌려진 감자와 우유잖아요.”

 

“Enjoy and be healthy! Happy April Fools’ Day!” Mom says, and everybody laughs out loud.

“맛있게 먹고 건강해지렴! 행복한 만우절이잖아!” 엄마가 말씀하시자 모두 큰 소리로 웃는다.

 

It’s a happy April Fools’ Day.

행복한 만우절이다.
