우리 동아리에 온 것을 환영해요 

Hello. I’m Jisu. I am a freshman at Daehan High School.

안녕, 난 지수라고 해. 난 대한고등학교의 신입생이야. 

 

I have been looking forward to joining a club as part of my new school life.

난 새로운 학교생활의 일환으로 동아리에 가입하는 것을 고대해 왔어. 

 

I think that I might be able to find my aptitudes and talents through club activities.

나는 동아리 활동을 통해 나의 적성과 재능을 찾을 수 있을 거라고 생각해.

From Scratch

Do you always feel hungry when you are in school? Well, you are not the only one!

학교에 있으면 항상 배고픈가? 당신만 그런 사람이 아니다! 

 

We all need to eat to keep our energy up.

우리는 에너지를 유지하기 위해서 먹어야할 필요가 있다. 

 

So we decided to create a baking club and make healthy and delicious bread and cookies ourselves.

그래서 우리는 베이킹 동아리를 만들고 건강에 좋고 맛도 좋은 빵과 과자를 스스로 만들기로 결정했다. 

 

Our club is called From Scratch because we didn’t know anything about baking at first and had to start from scratch.

우리는 처음에 베이킹에 대해서 아무 것도 몰랐고 바닥부터 시작해야 했기에 우리 동아리 이름은 From Scratch이다. 

 

But now we are experts in making brownies!

하지만 이제 우리는 브라우니를 만드는 데 전문가이다. 

 

We open a bakery stand at the school festival every year to sell our own baked goods.

우리는 매년 축제 때 빵집을 열어서 손수 만든 빵을 판매한다. 

 

Our friends say that eating our bread is the best part of the festival.

친구들은 우리의 빵을 먹는 것이 축제 최대의 묘미라고 말한다.

How to Make Brownies

브라우니 만드는 방법

1. Put some flour, sugar, cocoa, and salt in a bowl.

1. 밀가루, 설탕, 코코아, 소금을 그릇에 부어라. 

 

2. Mix all of them well with a large spoon.

2. 그것들 모두를 큰 스푼으로 잘 섞어라. 

 

3. Add oil and water to the bowl and mix again.

3. 그릇에 기름을 넣고 물을 부은 다음 다시 저어라. 

 

4. Place the bowl in the microwave and heat it for 50 seconds.

Volunteer work may seem difficult, but it’s not.

자원봉사는 어려워 보이지만 그렇지 않다. 

 

We can do many simple things for those in need, such as delivering food to the elderly, talking with people living alone, and teaching children with fewer opportunities for education.

노인에게 식사를 가져다주거나 혼자 있는 사람들에게 말벗이 되어주거나 교육에 대해 보다 더 배울 기회가 적은 아이들을 가르쳐주는 것처럼 도움을 필요로 하는 사람들을 위해서 많은 간단한 일들을 해줄 수 있다. 

 

Some former members of our club have continued their volunteer work after high school in order to serve those in need of help.

우리 동아리 출신의 몇몇 졸업생들은 졸업 후에도 도움이 필요한 사람들을 위해서 다른 종류의 자원봉사를 계속 하고 있다. 

 

Just a little bit of time and effort will double the happiness in your life.

약간의 시간과 노력은 당신의 삶 속의 행복을 두 배로 만들어 줄 것이다.

Hi, my name is Jihyeong. I am a former member of Little Helpers.

안녕, 내 이름은 지형이야. 나는 Little Helpers의 이전 회원이야. 

 

Since high school, some other former members and I have been working as volunteers in order to serve those in need of help.

고등학교 이래로 몇몇 다른 전 회원들과 나는 도움이 필요한 사람들을 돕기 위해 자원봉사자로서 일해오고 있어. 

 

We feel closer to each other than we used to when we were in high school.

우리는 고등학교를 다닐 때 그랬던 것 보다 서로 더 가까워 졌음을 느껴.

After I got information from the school website, I thought about choosing one among the many interesting school clubs.

학교 홈페이지에서 정보를 얻은 뒤 나는 많은 매력적인 학교 동아리들 사이에서 하나를 고르려고 고민했다. 

 

Yena told me that I should consider my skills and interests when I choose a club.

예나 누나는 내가 동아리를 고를 때 내 능력과 흥미를 고려해야만 한다고 말했다. 

 

So I thought about my hobbies and realized that I liked watching movies and making stories.

그래서 나는 내 취미를 생각한 후 내가 영화 보는 것과 스토리 집필을 좋아한다는 것을 깨달았다. 

 

In the end, I decided to join the filmmaking club, No Limits.

결국에는 나는 영화 동아리인 No Limits에 가입하기로 결심했다.
