We Are Not Alone!

우리는 혼자가 아니에요!

We live in different places, from land to sea.

우리는 육지에서 바다까지 다양한 장소에서 살고 있습니다. 

 

To live in the wild, we live together and help each other with difficulties.

야생에서 살기 위해 우리는 함께 생활하고 어려운 것을 서로 돕습니다. 

 

Here are some stories about our wonderful friends.

여기에 우리의 놀라운 친구들에 관한 몇몇 이야기들이 있습니다.

 

 

Hold Hands

손을 잡아요

Mr. Ottis: Hello, I live in the sea and along the coast.

Ottis 씨: 안녕하세요, 저는 바다와 해안가에 살아요. 

 

I eat, rest, and sleep in the water.

저는 물에서 먹고 쉬고 잠을 잔답니다. 

 

I wrap myself in sea plants and hold hands with my friends.

저는 제 몸을 해초로 두르고 친구들과 손을 잡아요. 

 

Can you guess why?

왜인지 아세요? 

 

I don’t want to float away in the waves.

저는 파도에 떠내려가고 싶지 않거든요. 

 

The waves are sometimes as big as mountains for me, but I’m not worried.

파도는 때때로 저에게 산만큼 크지만, 저는 걱정하지 않아요. 

 

I have friends!

저는 친구들이 있거든요!

 

 

 

Get Close

가까이 모여요

Ms. Peng: We have very long and cold winters.

Peng 씨: 우리는 매우 길고 추운 겨울을 보내요. 

 

How do we get through them?

우리는 어떻게 겨울을 보낼까요? 

 

We usually stand on our feet.

우리는 대개 두 발로 서 있어요. 

 

We don’t like to sit or lie on the cold ice.

우리는 차가운 얼음 위에 앉거나 눕는 것을 좋아하지 않아요. 

 

On very cold days, we get close to one another and warm ourselves up!

몹시 추운 날에, 우리는 서로 가까이 모여서 우리 자신을 따뜻하게 해요!

 

Take Turns

서로 교대해요

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gibson: In late fall, it gets cold and we move to a warmer country.

Gibson 부부: 늦가을에 날씨가 추워지면 우리는 더 따뜻한 나라로 이동해요. 

 

We fly as high as the clouds.

우리는 구름만큼 높이 날아요. 

 

We follow a leader and fly in a “V” shape.

우리는 리더를 따르고 V자 형태로 날아요. 

 

The leader has to guide us, and it’s not an easy job.

리더는 우리를 안내해야 하는데, 그것은 쉬운 일이 아니죠. 

 

So we take turns in the lead to save energy.

그래서 우리는 힘을 아끼기 위해 교대로 앞장서요. 

 

This way, we can travel very far.

이런 식으로 우리는 아주 멀리 이동할 수 있어요.
