네 꿈을 믿어!

Teri loves basketball.

Teri는 농구를 정말 좋아한다.

 

She always thinks about her dream job—a basketball player.

그녀는 항상 자신의 꿈의 직업인 농구 선수에 대해 생각한다.

 

Teri practices, but she does not improve.

Teri는 연습을 하지만 나아지지 않는다.

 

She is sad.

그녀는 슬프다.

 

She is not sure about her dream anymore.

그녀는 자신의 꿈을 더 이상 확신하지 못한다.

 

So she does not practice hard.

그래서 그녀는 열심히 연습하지 않는다.

 

At lunch, Teri sees her classmate, Alex.

점심시간에 Teri는 그녀의 반 친구인 Alex를 본다.

 

Alex is drawing cartoons.

Alex는 만화를 그리고 있다.

 

His drawings are not very good.

그의 그림은 그다지 훌륭하지는 않다.

 

Teri: Alex, you’re drawing again.

Teri: Alex, 너 또 그림 그리고 있구나.

 

Do you like animations?

너는 애니메이션을 좋아하니?

 

Alex: Yes. I love them.

Alex: 응. 정말 좋아해.

 

An animator! That’s my dream job.

애니메이터! 그것이 내 꿈의 직업이야.

 

Teri: Really?

Teri: 진짜?

 

Alex: Yes. I’m not very good at drawing.

Alex: 응. 난 그림을 썩 잘 그리지는 못해.

 

But I practice every day.

하지만 매일 연습해.

 

I read a lot and write stories, too.

난 책을 많이 읽고 이야기도 써.

 

I believe in my dream.

나는 내 꿈을 믿어.

 

Alex believes in his dream and works hard for his future.

Alex는 그의 꿈을 믿고 자신의 미래를 위해 열심히 노력한다.

 

Teri understands now.

Teri는 이제 이해한다.

 

Belief and practice are important.

믿음과 연습이 중요하다는 것을.

 

She thinks happily, “Believe in your dream, Teri!
