고누: 한국의 민속놀이

Welcome to the Kim Hongdo section.

김홍도 전시관에 오신 것을 환영합니다.

 

Kim Hongdo was a famous artist of the 18th century.

김홍도는 18세기의 유명한 화가였습니다.

 

In his paintings, people dance, fish, study, wrestle, and so on.

그의 그림에서, 사람들은 춤추고, 낚시를 하고, 공부하고, 몸싸움을 하는 등의 활동을 합니다.

 

He made these paintings because he was interested in the lives of the common people.

그는 평민들의 삶에 관심이 있었기 때문에 이런 그림들을 그렸습니다.

 

Chris: Look at that painting. The boys are playing a game, aren’t they?

Chris: 저 그림을 봐. 소년들이 놀이를 하고 있어, 그렇지 않니?

 

Subin: Yes, they are playing gonu.

Subin: 맞아, 그들은 고누를 하고 있어.

 

Chris: Gonu? What’s that?

Chris: 고누? 그게 무엇이니?

 

Subin: It’s a traditional Korean game.

Subin: 그것은 한국의 전통 놀이야.

 

Gonu is a folk game for people of all ages.

고누는 모든 연령대의 사람들을 위한 민속놀이입니다.

 

People enjoy the game because it is easy and fun.

사람들은 고누가 쉽고 재미있기 때문에 이 놀이를 즐깁니다.

 

There are different types of gonu.

고누에는 다양한 종류가 있습니다.

 

Their names come from the shape of the board, such as a pumpkin, a well, and lines.

그것들의 이름은 호박, 우물 그리고 줄 같은 놀이판 모양에서 유래했습니다.

 

Hobak gonu is a popular type of gonu.

호박고누는 인기 있는 종류의 고누입니다.

The Rules of Hobak Gonu

호박고누 규칙

 

1. Put three markers on your home space.

1. 자신의 집 위에 세 개의 말을 놓는다.

 

2. Take turns and move one marker one space at a time.

2. 순서대로 돌아가면서 한 번에 하나의 말을 한 칸씩 이동시킨다.

 

• You can move the markers freely in the circle.

• 당신은 원 안에서 자유롭게 말들을 움직일 수 있다.

 

• Your markers cannot get into the other player’s home space.

• 당신의 말들은 상대방의 집에 들어갈 수 없다.

 

• Your markers cannot go back to your home space from the circle.

• 당신의 말들은 원에서 자신 집으로 되돌아갈 수 없다.

 

3. Block all the markers of the other players.

3. 상대방의 모든 말들을 막아라.

 

Then you’ll win the game

그러면 당신은 놀이에서 승리할 수 있다.
