Hi, I am Lucy Hunter, and I live in London.

안녕, 나는 Lucy Hunter이고, 런던에 살고 있어.

 

Last week, my family went on a vacation for three days.

지난주, 우리 가족은 3일 동안 휴가를 떠났어.

 

During our trip, I made simple drawings in my journal.

여행 중에, 나는 내 일기에 간단한 그림을 그렸어.

 

That was a great way to capture all the special moments.

At last, we set foot at Stonehenge, one of the most mysterious places on Earth.

After a two-hour drive from our home in London, we finally got to Stonehenge.

런던에 있는 우리 집에서 차로 두 시간을 달린 후에, 우리는 마침내 스톤헨지에 도착했어.

 

It was just amazing to see the ring of huge stones.

원형으로 둘러서 있는 거대한 돌들을 보는 것은 정말 놀라웠어.

 

How did those huge stones get there thousands of years ago?

What were they for?

I guess Stonehenge will remain a mystery for a long time.

In the morning, we walked around the Cotswolds.

It started to rain in the afternoon, so we decided to stay indoors at our B&B.

A B&B is a popular place to stay in England.

B&B는 영국에서 머물기에 인기 있는 곳이야.

 

It feels more like a home than a hotel.

호텔보다는 집처럼 더 느껴져. 

 

The owner invited us for afternoon tea today.

주인이 오늘 오후 다과회에 우리를 초대했어.

 

The dining table was full of cookies, cake, bread, and cheese.

식탁에는 과자, 케이크, 빵, 그리고 치즈가 가득했어.

 

While I was busy eating, Mom was admiring the beautiful cups and plates.

내가 정신없이 먹고 있는 동안, 엄마는 예쁜 컵과 접시에 감탄하고 있었어.

 

I ate too much, so I couldn’t eat anything for dinner.

나는 너무 많이 먹어서, 저녁 식사 때는 아무것도 먹을 수가 없었어.

Our last stop was Oxford.

우리가 마지막으로 간 곳은 옥스퍼드였어.

 

We first visited Christ Church College.

우리는 먼저 크라이스트 처치 칼리지에 갔어.

 

It has become a world-famous place to visit since it appeared in the Harry Potter movies.

그곳은 《해리 포터》 영화에 나온 이후로 방문해야 할 세계적인 명소가 되었어.

 

In the movies, Harry and everyone else eat dinner at the Hall of Christ Church.

영화에서는, Harry와 다른 모든 사람이 크라이스트 처치 홀에서 저녁을 먹거든.

 

We also saw portraits of famous people who graduated from the college.

우리는 또한 그 대학을 졸업한 유명한 사람들의 초상화를 봤어.

 

When we were outside the building, I walked to the famous olive tree and touched it.

우리가 건물 밖으로 나왔을 때, 나는 유명한 올리브 나무로 걸어가서 그것을 만졌어.

 

“Because I touched this tree,” I said, “I will get into Oxford University!”

Then, my brother said to me with a smile, “I can’t wait to see your portrait on the wall.”
