Scene 1: In front of the three little piggies' house

장면 1: 아기 돼지 삼 형제의 집 앞

 

(Red comes in with a basket of cakes and cookies.)

(Red가 케이크와 과자가 든 바구니를 들고 등장한다.)

 

Red: Now I can see the three little piggies' house.

Red: 이제 아기 돼지 삼 형제의 집이 보인다.

 

I'll take a break here under the tree.

여기 나무 아래에서 좀 쉬어야지.

 

(Wolf walks in and looks into the house.)

(늑대가 걸어 들어와 집 안을 들여다본다.)

 

Wolf: Baby piggies! They look delicious. I'll eat them for lunch.

늑대: 새끼 돼지들이네! 맛있어 보인다. 점심으로 그들을 먹어야겠어.

 

(Wolf blows the house hard and it is shaking.)

(늑대가 집을 세게 불자 집이 흔들리고 있다.)

 

Red: Oh, that bad Wolf! What can I do to stop him?

Red: 오, 저런 나쁜 늑대 같으니 라고! 그를 멈추게 하려면 내가 뭘 할 수 있을까?

 

Let me see. ... That's it! (To Wolf) Hey, you! I'll change the story!

어디 보자. ‧‧‧ 바로 그거야! (늑대에게) 이봐! 내가 이야기를 바꾸겠어!

 

Wolf: What do you mean by that?

늑대: 그게 무슨 말이야?

 

Red: (Taking out a pen and writing something) "There lived three big strong piggies in the house."

Red: (펜을 꺼내서 뭔가를 쓰면서) “그 집에는 크고 힘센 아기 돼지 삼 형제가 살고 있었다.”

 

Wolf: You shouldn't do that!

늑대: 그렇게 하면 안 돼!

 

(Wolf blows again, but the three big strong piggies come out of the house.)

(늑대가 다시 불지만, 크고 힘센 돼 지 삼 형제가 집에서 나온다.)

 

Three Piggies: Hey there! Why did you blow our house?

돼지 삼 형제: 이봐, 거기! 왜 우리 집을 불었어?

 

Wolf: Um ... I didn't. I just blew my nose.

늑대: 음 ‧‧‧ 그러지 않았어. 나는 그냥 코를 풀었을 뿐이야.

 

Three Piggies: Don't do that again here. Go away!

돼지 삼 형제: 여기서 다시는 그러지 마. 가 버려!

 

Wolf: Okay. I'm so sorry. (The piggies go back into the house.)

늑대: 알았어. 정말 미안해. (돼지들은 집 안으로 다시 돌아간다.)

 

Wolf: I can't believe this happened. I'm so hungry!

늑대: 이런 일이 일어나다니 믿을 수가 없어. 나는 너무 배가 고파!

 

(Looking at Red's basket) What are those?

(Red의 바구니를 보며) 그것들은 뭐야?

 

Red: These are cookies for Grandma.

Red: 할머니께 드릴 과자들이야.

 

Wolf: Where does she live?

늑대: 어디에 사시는데?

 

Red: She lives at the end of this road.

Red: 이 길의 끝에 사셔.

 

Wolf: (To himself) Grandma is good for lunch, too.

늑대: (혼잣말로) 할머니도 점심으로 좋지.

 

(To Red) See you later. (Wolf leaves.)

(Red에게) 나중에 보자. (늑대가 떠난다.)

 

Red: Bye. (Talking to herself) Hmm .... He's going to Grandma's.

Red: 안녕. (혼잣말을 하며) 흠 ‧‧‧. 그는 할머니 댁으로 갈 거야.

 

I think I should change the story again. (Taking out the pen and writing something) Okay.

이야기를 다시 바꿔야겠어. (펜을 꺼내서 뭔가를 쓰며) 좋아.

 

If my story works, Grandma will be safe. I'll follow him. (Red leaves)

내 이야기가 제대로 돌아간다면 할머니는 안전하실 거야. 그를 따라가 봐야지. (Red가 떠난다.)

 

Scene 2: Grandma's house

장면 2: 할머니의 집

 

(Wolf dances around Grandma. She looks very happy and excited.)

(늑대가 할머니 주변을 맴돌며 춤을 춘다. 할머니는 아주 행복하고 신나 보인다.)

 

Red: (Knocking on the door) Grandma, it's me. Are you okay?

Red: (문을 두드리며) 할머니, 저예요. 괜찮으세요?

 

Grandma: (Laughing happily and opening the door) Sure, Red. Come on in.

할머니: (행복하게 웃으며 문을 열면서) 물론이지, Red. 어서 들어와.

 

I was watching Wolf dance for me.

늑대가 나를 위해 춤추는 걸 보고 있었단다.

 

Red: Hey, Wolf. Thank you for pleasing my grandmother.

Red: 이봐, 늑대야. 우리 할머니를 기쁘게 해 드려서 고마워.

 

Wolf: Well, that's ....

늑대: 음, 그게 ‧‧‧.

 

Prince: (Opening the door and running in) Hey, you bad Wolf! (Prince jumps over Wolf.)

왕자: (문을 열고 뛰어 들어오며) 이봐, 이 나쁜 늑대야! (왕자가 늑대에게 달려든다.)

 

Red: No, no! Stop. He's not dangerous.

Red: 아니, 아니에요! 멈춰요. 그는 위험하지 않아요.

 

Grandma: Right. Look. He is dancing for us.

할머니: 맞아요. 보세요. 그가 우리를 위해 춤추고 있잖아요.

 

Prince: Really? Wolf, I'm sorry. I'm glad you're kind to Grandma.

왕자: 정말요? 늑대야, 미안해. 네가 할머니께 잘해 드린다니 기쁘다.

 

Wolf: Well, ... I'm glad, too. By the way, do you have anything to eat?

늑대: 음, ‧‧‧ 나도 기뻐. 그런데, 먹을 것 좀 있니?

 

Red: (Taking some cookies out of the basket) Would you like some cookies?

Red: (바구니에서 과자를 좀 꺼내며) 과자 좀 먹을래?

 

Wolf: No, thanks. I don't eat cookies. I like chicken.

늑대: 고맙지만 괜찮아. 난 과자를 먹지 않아. 나는 닭고기를 좋아해.

 

Red: Don't worry. I'll change the story again.

Red: 걱정하지 마. 내가 이야기를 다시 바꿀게.

 

Then you will like eating cookies.

그러면 넌 과자 먹는 것을 좋아하게 될 거야.

 

(Checking the basket) Oh, I lost my pen. What should I do?

(바구니를 뒤지며) 오, 펜을 잃어버렸어. 어떻게 하지?

 

Wolf: (Dancing and crying) Oh, no! I'm so tired and hungry now.

늑대: (춤을 추며 울부짖으며) 오, 안 돼! 난 지금 너무 피곤하고 배고파.

 

(Andersen comes in.)

(Andersen이 들어온다.)

 

Andersen: I think you need my help, right?

Andersen: 내 도움이 필요한 것 같은데, 맞지?

 

Red: Oh, Mr. Andersen. I'm so glad you're here.

Red: 오, Andersen 씨. 여기 오셔서 너무 기뻐요.

 

Grandma: (To Red) Who's that?

할머니: (Red에게) 저분은 누구니?

 

Red: He is Mr. Andersen, the famous writer.

Red: 저분은 유명한 작가인 Andersen 씨예요.

 

Have you ever heard of "The Red Shoes"?

'빨간 구두'에 대해 들어 보신 적이 있죠?

 

Grandma: Yes, I have. Is he the one who wrote that story?

할머니: 그래, 들어 봤지. 그 이야기를 쓴 사람이란 말이지?

 

Red: Right. (To Andersen) I changed the story, and the poor Wolf got tired and hungry.

Red: 맞아요. (Andersen에게) 제가 이야기를 바꿔서 불쌍한 늑대가 피곤하고 배고파졌어요.

 

Andersen: You can change the story again.

Andersen: 너는 다시 이야기를 바꿀 수 있잖아.

 

Red: I'm sorry, but I lost the pen you gave to me. Please help me.

Red: 죄송하지만, 제가 작가님이 주신 펜을 잃어버렸어요. 저 좀 도와주세요.

 

Andersen: No problem. I'll write a happy ending for everyone. Is that okay?

Andersen: 문제없지. 내가 모두에게 행복한 결말을 쓸게. 괜찮지?

 

Red: That'll be great!

Red: 아주 좋아요!

 

Andersen: All right. I'll use my pen here.

Andersen: 좋아. 여기 내 펜을 사용해야지.

 

"The kind Wolf stops dancing. He can enjoy cakes and cookies."

“그 친절한 늑대는 춤추기를 멈춘다. 그는 케이크와 과자를 맛있게 먹을 수 있다."

 

Wolf: (Stopping dancing) I can stop dancing!

늑대: (춤을 멈추며) 춤을 멈출 수 있어!

 

(Eating cookies) And I can eat cookies!

(과자를 먹으며) 그리고 과자를 먹을 수 있어!

 

Thank you very much. (Everybody laughs and enjoys cookies together

정말 고마워요. (모두 웃으며 함께 과자를 맛있게 먹는다.)
