아기 돼지 삼 형제: 그것의 진짜 이야기

Reporter: Welcome to Animal World News.

Reporter: ‘동물 세계 뉴스’에 오신 것을 환영합니다.

 

Last Sunday, a wolf was taken to the police station for blowing down pigs’ houses.

지난 일요일, 돼지들의 집들을 바람을 불어 넘어뜨린 늑대가 경찰서로 연행되었습니다.

 

Today, we have the third little pig and the wolf with us.

오늘, 우리는 셋째 아기 돼지와 늑대를 모셨습니다.

 

Mr. Pig, could you explain what happened to you and your brothers?

Pig 씨, 당신과 당신의 형제들에게 무슨 일이 일어났는지 설명해 주시겠습니까?

 

Pig: Yes. My brothers and I thought it was time to build our own houses, so we built houses with straw, sticks, and bricks.

Pig: They are so shocked to lose their houses. They are resting in my house.

Pig: 그들은 집을 잃어서 너무 충격을 받았어요. 그들은 제 집에서 쉬고 있어요.

 

Reporter: Thank you, Mr. Pig.

Reporter: 감사합니다, Pig 씨.

 

Now, let’s meet our second guest, the wolf.

Mr. Wolf, could you tell us what happened?

Wolf 씨, 무슨 일이 있었는지 말씀해 주시겠어요?

 

Wolf: This whole “Big Bad Wolf” thing is wrong.

 Wolf: 이 모든 ‘덩치 크고 못된 늑대’ 사건은 잘못된 거예요.

 

The real story is about a sneeze from a terrible cold and a cup of sugar.

진짜 이야기는 지독한 감기로 인한 재채기와 설탕 한 컵에 관한 거예요.

 

Reporter: What do you mean?

Reporter: 무슨 말씀인가요?

 

Wolf: Back then, I was making a birthday cake for my dear old grandmother.

Wolf: 그때, 저는 사랑하는 할머니를 위해 생일 케이크를 만들고 있었어요.

 

I ran out of sugar.

설탕이 다 떨어졌더라고요.

 

I walked down the street to ask my neighbor for a cup of sugar.

저는 이웃에게 설탕 한 컵을 달라고 부탁하기 위해 길을 걸어갔어요.

 

When I knocked on the door, it fell down.

제가 이웃집 문을 두드렸을 때, 문이 떨어졌어요.

 

Then I called, “Little pig, are you in?”

그 다음에 저는 “아기 돼지 씨, 안에 계신가요?”라고 불렀어요.

 

I had just grabbed the broken door when I felt a sneeze coming on.

제가 부서진 문을 막 움켜잡았을 때 재채기가 나오는 것을 느꼈어요.

 

I sneezed a great sneeze and you know what?

저는 재채기를 아주 크게 했고, 그거 알아요?

 

The whole straw house fell down.

I was very surprised by what had happened.

Unfortunately, the same thing happened to the second little pig’s house.

안타깝게도, 둘째 아기 돼지의 집에서도 같은 일이 일어나고 말았어요.

 

Reporter: Then why did you go to the third little pig’s house?

Reporter: 그렇다면 셋째 아기 돼지의 집에 왜 갔나요?

 

Wolf: I still needed that cup of sugar, so I went to the next house.

Wolf: 저는 여전히 설탕 한 컵이 필요했고, 그래서 옆집으로 갔어요.

 

The third little pig had built his house of bricks.

셋째 아기 돼지는 벽돌로 집을 지었더라고요.

 

I called out, “I’m sorry to trouble you, but are you in?”

제가 소리쳤어요, “귀찮게 해 드려 죄송하지만, 안에 계신가요?”

 

And do you know what he answered?

그리고 그가 뭐라고 대답했는지 아세요?

 

“Go away. Don’t bother me again!”

I thought I deserved an apology, so I kept knocking.

When the police came, of course they thought I was breaking into this pig’s house.

경찰이 왔을 때, 물론 그들은 제가 이 돼지의 집에 침입하고 있다고 생각했죠.

 

Reporter: Do you think you were framed?

Wolf: Yes. The news reporters of the town thought a sick wolf going to borrow a cup of sugar didn’t sound very exciting.

So, they made me the “Big Bad Wolf.”
