Jason: How far can flying fish fly?

Jason: 날치는 얼마나 멀리 날 수 있나요? 

 

Mr. Fisher: Actually, flying fish don’t really fly like birds.

Mr. Fisher: 사실, 날치는 실제로 새처럼 날지는 못해요. 

 

They jump out of the water to escape from bigger sea creatures.

그것들은 더 큰 바다 생물로부터 도망치기 위해서 물 밖으로 뛰어오릅니다. 

 

They can usually glide more than 50 meters in the air.

그것들은 보통 공중에서 50미터 이상 미끄러져 갈 수 있습니다. 

 

Some flying fish can glide much farther than other flying fish.

Surprisingly, they can glide about 400 meters.

Bora: What is the slowest fish in the world?

Mr. Fisher: The seahorse is the slowest fish.

It looks different from other fish.

It looks like a horse, but it’s much slower than a horse.

그것은 말처럼 생겼지만 말보다 훨씬 더 느립니다. 

 

The slowest seahorse is the dwarf seahorse.

가장 느린 해마는 ‘난쟁이 해마’입니다. 

 

It only travels about 1.5 meters per hour.

Then, how do seahorses run away from danger?

They don’t run away.
