This month, our student reporters will introduce two interesting countries.

Land of Ice and Snow - ICELAND

얼음과 눈의 땅 - 아이슬란드

 

Hello, I’m Kathrin. In Iceland, there are many natural wonders to see.

안녕, 나는 Kathrin이야. 아이슬란드에는 볼 수 있는 경이로운 자연 경관이 많이 있어.

 

You can experience a beautiful blue world in the ice caves of Iceland.

너는 아이슬란드의 얼음 동굴에서 아름다운 파란 세상을 경험할 수 있어.

 

I think that ice caves are much safer in winter because the ice doesn’t melt.

나는 얼음이 녹지 않기 때문에 겨울에 얼음 동굴이 훨씬 더 안전하다고 생각해.

 

When the winter weather is nice, you can see the amazing northern lights at night.

겨울 날씨가 좋을 때, 너는 밤에 놀라운 북극광[오로라]을 볼 수 있어.

 

You can see different colors like green, yellow, and pink.

너는 초록색, 노란색, 그리고 분홍색 같은 다양한 색깔을 볼 수 있어.

 

Iceland has a lot of snow, so people use dog sleds.

아이슬란드에는 눈이 많이 내려서 사람들은 개 썰매를 사용해.

 

The dogs will take you to great places.

개들은 너를 멋진 장소로 데려갈 거야.

 

You can see beautiful sights and experience exciting speed.

너는 아름다운 광경을 보고 신나는 속도를 경험할 수 있어.

 

I can show you other natural wonders, so visit Iceland!

나는 너에게 다른 경이로운 자연 경관을 보여줄 수 있으니 아이슬란드를 방문해!

 

Land of Deserts and Stars - MONGOLIA

사막과 별의 땅 - 몽골

 

Hello, I’m Bayar. In Mongolia, there are many fun things to do.

안녕, 나는 Bayar야. 몽골에는 재미있는 할 것들이 많이 있어.

 

The Gobi Desert was once a sea.

고비 사막은 한때 바다였어.

 

But now you can ride a camel there or watch the stars at night.

그러나 지금 너는 거기서 낙타를 타거나 밤에 별을 볼 수 있어.

 

I think that the stars look really beautiful.

나는 별들이 정말 아름다워 보인다고 생각해.

 

We enjoy riding horses.

우리는 말 타는 것을 즐겨.

 

There are many horse races in Mongolia.

몽골에는 많은 말 경주가 있어.

 

In the Naadam festival, there is even a horse race for children.

나담 축제에서는 심지어 아이들을 위한 말 경주가 있어.

 

We also play fun games with shagai at the festival.

우리는 또한 축제에서 ‘샤가이’로 재미있는 게임을 해.

 

Shagai are Mongolian dice.

‘샤가이’는 몽골 주사위야.

 

We make them from sheep bones.

우리는 그것들을 양의 뼈로 만들어.
