B: These are Lovely!

B: 이것들은 예쁘구나! 

 

They look like Mandu.

만두처럼 생겼어. 

 

They are dim sum, a popular lunch in Hong Kong.

그것들은 홍콩에서 인기 있는 점심 식사인 딤섬이야. 

 

G: Are they tasty?

G: 맛있나요? 

 

M: Yes, they are delicious. We fill them with vegetables, meat, or seafood.

M: 응, 맛있지. 우리는 딤섬을 채소, 고기, 또는 해산물로 채운단다. 

 

G: By the way, what does dim sum mean?

G: 그런데 딤섬의 뜻이 뭐예요? 

 

M: It means to touch your heart. Try one.

M: 마음을 만진다는 뜻이야. 한번 먹어보렴. 

 

B: Wow, how delicious!

B: 와, 정말 맛있네요!

 

Fondue

In Switzerland, people could not get fresh food during the winter.

스위스에서 사람들은 겨울 동안 신선한 음식을 얻을 수 없었다. 

 

They stored bread and cheese, but the bread and cheese became too hard.

그들은 빵과 치즈를 저장했지만 빵과 치즈는 너무 딱딱해졌다. 

 

So the Swiss began to soften the old bread with warm cheese.

그래서 스위스 사람들은 따뜻한 치즈로 오래된 빵을 부드럽게 하기 시작했다.

1. Put cheese in a pot.

1. 냄비 안에 치즈를 넣으세요. 

 

2. Place the pot over a candle and melt the cheese.

2. 냄비를 초 위에 놓고 치즈를 녹이세요. 

 

3. Pick up a piece of bread with a long fork.

3. 긴 포크로 빵 한 조각을 집어 드세요. 

 

4. Dip it in the cheese and enjoy.

4. 그것을 치즈에 살짝 담가서 맛있게 드세요.

안녕, 세비체를 맛보고 싶나요? 

 

Ceviche is a popular dish in Peru.

세비체는 페루에서 인기 있는 요리예요. 

 

Let’s make ceviche.

세비체를 만들어 봐요. 

 

Pour lemon or lime juice over raw fish.

레몬 즙이나 라임 즙을 날생선 위에 부어 주세요. 

 

The sour juice cooks the fish without heat.

신 즙은 열이 없어도 생선을 요리해 줘요. 

 

Then, serve it with vegetables.

그러고 나서, 채소와 함께 차려 내면 되요. 

 

It tastes both sweet and sour.

그것은 달콤할 뿐만 아니라 새콤한 맛도 납니다.
