Once upon a time, there was a rabbit and a turtle.

옛날 옛적에, 토끼와 거북이가 있었다.

 

Rabbit was very proud of his speed and made fun of Turtle.

토끼는 자신의 빠르기를 매우 자랑스러워했고 거북이를 놀렸다.

 

Turtle answered, "Are you really better than me? Let's find out."

거북이가 “네가 정말로 나보다 낫니? 한번 알아보자.”라고 대답했다.

 

So they decided to have a race.

그래서 그들은 경주를 하기로 결정했다.

 

At the start, Rabbit ran much faster than Turtle.

처음에는, 토끼가 거북이보다 훨씬 더 빠르게 달렸다.

 

Because he was so far ahead, Rabbit decided to rest under a tree.

But he fell asleep.

Turtle passed by and kept walking.

He never stopped running.

The finish line was on the other side.
