Blackie the Ship's Cat

뱃고양이 Blackie

Blackie was a special cat.

Blackie는 특별한 고양이였다. 

 

He was a ship's cat.

그는 뱃고양이였다. 

 

Cats generally do not like water, but Blackie spent a lot of time at sea.

고양이들은 일반적으로 물을 좋아하지 않지만, Blackie는 바다에서 많은 시간을 보냈다. 

 

A ship's cat did many good things for sailors, especially on a long voyage.

뱃고양이는 특히 긴 항해를 하는 선원들을 위해 좋은 일을 많이 했다.

 

Sailors often felt lonely during long voyages, so they welcomed a ship's cat.

It also kept rats away from the ship.
